Over $1M in assistance has already helped more than 100 Philadelphians become first-time homeowners

HomeFree-USA is thrilled to celebrate—with Wells Fargo’s extraordinary $5 million investment in the NeighborhoodLIFT Program—that, in less than three months, we have removed barriers to homeownership for 111 first-time homebuyers, with another 42 in process, as of September 2nd.

Many thanks to Mayor Cherelle Parker and the City of Philadelphia for your support, as well as to our partners, Affordable Housing Centers of Pennsylvania and RiseUp Fund, who work directly with program participants. We couldn’t make this impact without you!

NeighborhoodLIFT goes beyond downpayment assistance to set homebuyers up for sustainable homeownership: participants receive up to $15,000, which they can use toward closing costs, buying down rates, and even paying off debt in addition to the down payment—plus a free 1-year home warranty, emergency repair funds, a will prepared for free, financial coaching, and more.

At HomeFree-USA, we work with partners like Wells Fargo not just to prepare people to buy homes; we prepare them to be homeowners for life, and build a lasting legacy.. “The NeighborhoodLIFT Program isn’t just a financial transaction. It’s a catalyst for generational wealth, offering families the keys to stability, security, and the dream of homeownership,” says Robin David, the program’s manager at HomeFree-USA.
