Empowering Local Developers to Build Stronger Communities – Applications Due September 26

Landover– September 2nd, 2025 — HomeFree-USA is proud to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 Develop the Developer℠ Academy (DTDA) — a five-day immersive experience that equips emerging real estate developers with the tools, training, and connections needed to launch and grow successful development businesses rooted in community impact.

The Academy is made possible through generous support from Freddie Mac, along with key partners including the Baltimore City Department of Housing & Community Development, Fulton Bank, M&T Bank, PNC Bank, and the PNC Foundation. Their commitment makes it possible to expand affordable housing, promote local development leadership, and spark revitalization from within the communities themselves.

The 2025 Academy will take place November 7–11, 2025 (Friday–Tuesday) at the Cambria Hotel Arundel Mills (7700 Milestone Pkwy, Hanover, MD 21076). The program is open to 30 selected participants, with a registration cost of $399.

Applications must be submitted by September 26, 2025.

Acceptance notifications will be sent by October 3rd, 2025.

Participants will receive training in zoning, financing, land acquisition, construction, and community engagement, while building relationships with lenders, government officials, and experienced professionals. Post-program mentoring and support will also be provided.
