HomeFree-USA CEO Marcia Griffin Honored by Presidential Award
We proudly congratulate HomeFree-USA’s CEO and President Marcia Griffin, who was recently honored with “The President Joseph R. Biden’s Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award” from the Office of the United States President, the Points of Light Foundation, and AmeriCorps.
The prestigious Award is “one of the very few ways that the President of the United States can formally recognize the outstanding achievements and volunteerism that stellar Citizens, like yourself, have committed,” wrote Marcia’s nominator, Rev. Dr. George E. Holmes, VP of the TIS Foundation and previous Presidential Award winner.
As co-founder and CEO of HomeFree-USA, a nonprofit committed to closing the wealth gap by advancing financial education, diverse talent recruitment, business partnerships, affordable housing, and equitable access to credit, Marcia has paved the way for thousands to achieve the American dream of homeownership since 1994.
As an entrusted Board Member, she has advised financial and housing industry leaders like Freddie Mac, Wells Fargo, Ocwen, America’s Homeowner Alliance, Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, Mortgage Bankers Association, and Rocket Mortgage.
Marcia was unanimously accepted by the selection committee, the Board of Directors of the Global Women Empowerment Foundation, headed by Dr. F. Lee Lewis.
