Holidays come and go, but the giving season lasts forever.
That’s the take of HomeFree-USA, which has recently shown its support to two organizations that are changing lives and making a difference in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
HomeFree-USA recently launched a company-wide effort in support of Interfaith Works, an organization in Montgomery County, Maryland that has been providing housing and employment programs to more than 35,000 residents over the last 50 years.
In support of Interfaith Works’ mission, HomeFree-USA challenged all employees to donate the amount of their choice to the organization, and HomeFree-USA matched the donation dollar for dollar. The financial donation will support Interfaith Works’ program initiatives.
“We are so grateful to the HomeFree-USA team for their kindness and generosity in supporting Interfaith Works’ services providing emergency shelter, supportive housing, essential needs and employment assistance,” said Teri Blandon, Director of Development at Interfaith Works. “Thank you for making a difference for our Montgomery County neighbors.”
HomeFree-USA also participated in a volunteer activity for Food & Friends, an organization in Washington, DC that provides nutritious meals to members of the community who are seriously ill. HomeFree-USA staff members donated their time to help prepare and box up food for local residents who are too ill to prepare food or cook for themselves.
HomeFree-USA is proud to be a partner with organizations who are focused on uplifting the surrounding community. When we partner, everybody wins.
